*This workshop uses professional Fiber Reactive Procion Dyes. Not the ones you can buy on the cheap at the supermarket. All colors are brilliant, mouth-watering, and permanent. They don't fade, even after repeated washings. They are safe and easy to use. Superior to supermarket dyes in every way!
USED FOR: Tie-Dye, Tub Dyeing, Low Immersion Dyeing, Batik, Dye Painting, Silk Painting, Screen & Block Printing or Stenciling, even Tie-dyeing Silk in a Microwave
USED ON: All natural Fibers (Cotton, Rayon, Hemp, Silk, etc.), Wood, Cane, and Rattan

You may have seen other silk dying workshops for less that took less time, but please remember, in most of these, participants dyed small scarf-sized pieces with an additional emphasis of using them in our homes as table cloths or wrapped around pillow forms. Not 3 meter lengths (or more) of silk that uses much more time, material, dye and fixative.

I am a multi-facetted artist.
I love to create art with many different media.
Here I get to share my joy of creating colours in Silk.
I am a Canadian from a large city called Winnipeg, but I grew up in the country 12 km north of Winnipeg.
I have many interests.
I like to do many things in my free time.
I like cooking, doing photography, graphic design & web design, paint, dance, listening to music, reading many different kinds of books, going out to see movies and watching murder & mystery TV shows.
I went to university in both Canada and the United States. I have two degrees, two TEFL certifications and speak a few languages.
I have taught art, dance and cooking classes in Canada, the USA and Korea.
I love to create art,
I love to dance,
I love to travel,
I love to teach,
I love to cook (when someone else does the dishes).
If you need help, please ask!
That is why I am here!
